Old ANTIQUE Vintage CBG W.D. ALLEN MFG. CO. Chicago CAST IRON (?)

The photos show everything. This is a beautiful, very old lawn or garden sprinkler. I believe it is somewhat rare, although I do see a few others listed.  I am not sure of the age, I am assuming from the 1920s. Possibly earlier. But I don't know for sure just how old it actually is. The photos are the description, I believe it is made of cast iron. I could be wrong, but it is very heavy for its size.  It's possible that It is a very heavy steel, but I'm assuming cast iron.  It weighs 1.25 lb.  You can see the measurements. The last couple of photos show that it works beautifully. This would be a very nice sprinkler for someone's garden, if you like to use antique things, or it would be a beautiful collectible antique sprinkler.
