Rare Antique W D Allen Red Rocket Water Sprinkler - Nostalgic, Space Age. This sprinkler was made in the early 1950's and is very rare, fewer than 200 units made. There are a total of 5 in this series of sprinklers. It has been tested and works great! It has 3 marks which determine the speed of the head. The arrow on the nose line up with thd numbers : 1, 2, or 3. The mark on the bottom reads WD Allen MFG CO, Chicago, U.S.A. There is a whole article about this sprinkler on Worth Point that you can read. It measures 12 1/2" long, 7 1/2" wide, 10" tallest point. There is paint loss which can be expected for something of this age (see pictures.) Unique collector's piece and also great to use in your yard.
